We have a growing network of engaged and active young people in West Yorkshire and beyond, and are skilled in facilitating conversations which explore different aspects of mental health.


Common Room is a partner on this Masters programme, contributing learning materials which draw from lived experience of children and young people. The course explores real life mental health and well-being related problems and challenges in diverse educational contexts.

Common Room supports MindMate and Future in Mind to enable children, young people and families to have voice and influence in relation to mental health in the city. We also employ and manage the MindMate Ambassador team.

Young People with lived experience of inpatient stays are contributing to the development of this national survey of inpatient mental health care services for young people (Landscape study) with the support of Common Room.

Common Room is a research partner on this UKRI funded three-year study led by University of Manchester. So.Me works alongside our three Young Co-Researchers to engage students in high schools in order to create a measure of social media experience.  

Common Room facilitate a working group of 18-25 year olds to help steer the work of the EMERGE service (young adult pathway) for Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust.
